The blaze occurred at around 7am on Thursday morning.
One person, a man, has died following a fire at a residence in Rathmines, Dublin early on Thursday morning.
The fire broke out on Grove Road at around 7am and eight units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene.

Three people were treated at the scene, with the Gardaí confirming: “Three people were taken to St James’ Hospital from the scene and one man was subsequently pronounced dead.

“We have no further details on the deceased at this time. The other two people remain in hospital and are understood not to be seriously injured.”
