Gardaí in Meath are hunting for a hit and run driver after a man in his 20s was killed on the Rathmolyon to Summerhill Road in Meath last night.
The young man was discovered lying on the roadside at approximately 8.50pm on Thursday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Garda spokesman confirmed that the driver of a vehicle suspected of being involved in a collision with the pedestrian had fled the scene.
