Transport update: A bit of good news if you’re planning on heading out tomorrow

Jade Hayden

There’s a bit of good news if you’re planning on heading out tomorrow as transport systems are doing their utmost to get operations back up and running.

After ceasing all services today and yesterday, Dublin Bus, Irish Rail, and Bus Eireann have said that they plan to resume operations tomorrow weather permitting.

Luas has said that they cannot indicate a resume time but that they are working on it.

A full update on each service can be found below.

Dublin Bus

Dublin Bus has said that they plan to operate services tomorrow morning, but that there will be diversions in place and that scheduled services will be disrupted.

They are working with local authorities to assess road conditions and to ensure that travel is safe for drivers and passengers.

Irish Rail

Irish Rail said they plan to operate from 9am tomorrow, but this will depend on overnight rail inspections.

Routes will be subject to alternations and delays are to be expected.

Full details of Irish Rail’s status will be available at 5pm this evening.

Bus Eireann

Bus Eireann has said that some routes will resume tomorrow depending on weather and road conditions.

They are planning to run Expressway inter-city services and some regional and town services where possible.

Luas

Luas said they are continuing to clear depots and tramlines of snow and that they cannot yet confirm when services will resume.

You can keep an eye on all public transport updates on their respective social media pages.
