Tributes have been paid online to a 22-year-old woman from Dublin, Laura O'Neill, who lost her battle with cancer. Laura was diagnosed with Sarcoma Cancer just nine months ago.
Her friends raised €29,000 through a GoFundMe charity page, which helped Laura travel to London to the Royal Marsden Hospital where she began treatment for the rare form of cancer.
Initially, she was responding well to her chemotherapy, but her tumours returned even more aggressive than before and Laura passed away last Saturday.
Her funeral was held this week at Our Lady of Victories, Ballymun Road.
Her football club, the Baldoyle Utd, have paid tribute to her online and thanked everyone for their donations.
