It seems that Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour didn’t appreciate the style in which Miley Cyrus graced the VMA stage and decided to swiftly cut the pop starlet from the coveted front cover slot of the American issue.
Cyrus was already photographed for the December issue after Wintour was eager to showcase her as a newly established fashion icon.
Wintour had a change of heart after watching the 20-year-old grind and ‘twerk’ onstage donning a very unfashionable nude latex bra and barely-there knickers.

Devil wears Prada - Vogue Editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, cuts Miley's front cover.
The Daily Mail reports that source close to the Vogue chief said; “Anna found the whole thing distasteful.”
“She decided, based on Miley’s performance, to take the cover in a different direction.”
