What ever happened to putting your phone on airplane mode?
It looks like two EasyJet pilots attempt at having the “lols and bants” while flying a plane from Paris to Madrid on Wednesday has seriously backfired, as footage of the pair messing on their phones while 30 thousand feet in the air has been revealed.
The footage obtained by The Sun, show the pilots messing with filters and effects while airborne.
The images which were posted by the captain, Michel Castellucci, have gained some serious attention with many people disgraced by their behaviour and calling it seriously “unprofessional”.
Another image posted to Michel’s social media shows him applying a filter to his face while in charge of the plane asking people if they want “more”.
And finally, a third video shows Michel and his co-pilot laughing and messing with another Snapchat filter whilst onboard and still flying the plane.
EasyJet are currently investigating these videos and both pilots have been suspended for the meantime as they look into their behaviour.
EasyJet also spoke out about the pilots today saying that although the “safety of passengers” was not compromised, EasyJet is aware that their actions fall well short of expected standards.
Whilst at no point was the safety of the passengers compromised, this falls well short of the high standards easyJet expects of its pilots. It is not acceptable and is not representative of the thousands of highly professional pilots who work for the airline. 1/1
