Two girls seriously injured in crash involving car and pedestrians on busy Dublin street

Two girls are seriously injured following a road crash in Dublin on Monday (17 October).

At around 2.35pm, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a collision involving “a car and two female juvenile pedestrians” on Amiens Street junction in Dublin 1.

A Garda spokesperson said both of the pedestrians received serious injuries and were taken to Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street where they received medical attention.

Meanwhile, the driver of the car was uninjured but received medical attention at the scene.

An Garda Síochána are now appealing to any person who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.

Road users travelling on Amiens Street or in the vicinity between the times of 2.30pm to 3pm with camera footage, including dashcam footage, are asked to make it available to the investigating Gardaí.
