The two youths appeared in court on Friday.
The two young men charged with attacking and seriously
injuring a teenage girl in Ballyfermot have been granted bail.
Darragh Lyons and Jack Cummins, both aged 18, were freed on bail on Friday morning subject to the condition that they obey strict curfews, which will be checked by Gardaí.
Both men are also not allowed to have any contact with the injured party or prosecution witnesses.
The 17-year-old girl and her friend were assaulted on the Ballyfermot Road at 9:30pm on Thursday 30 December.
Her mother told RTÉ that her daughter was hit after she tried to intervene in an argument between the attackers and her friend. The teenager sustained a ruptured eyeball, broken cheek bones and a damaged eye socket.

The damage inflicted on the teen means there is a 90% chance she will lose sight in her right eye.
Darragh Lyons, from Chapelizod, Dublin, was accused of assault causing harm to the girl. The court was told he had no previous convictions and had planned to hand himself in in relation to this matter before being arrested.
Jack Cummins, from Ballyfermot, Dublin, was charged with the assault causing harm to a teenage boy.
Gardaí did not object to bail for either man, subject to the strict conditions.
Both are scheduled to appear in court again on 1 April.
