Two men have been left in critical conditions following two separate attacks.
The first took place in Wicklow where a man was found in James Everett Park, Bray. He was taken to St Vincent's Hospital and then was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital.
It's believed he got into a fight with a man he knew and sustained head injuries as a result. That man was brought to Bray Garda Station for questioning.
Gardai are asking that anyone who has information on the attack to call Bray Garda Station on 01 6665300 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
The other attack took place in Offaly where a man in his 2os was stabbed on McAuley Drive in Birr. According to
RTÉ, he was brought to Tullamore Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Another man in his 20s has been detained for questioning.
