Two men killed in separate collisions

The incidents took place in Donegal and Dublin.

Two men have died in road collisions in Dublin and Donegal yesterday evening.

The first crash took place on the R236 in St Johnston in Donegal at around 9:15pm. The man, who was in his 20s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to RTÉ, the road is currently closed to allow a technical examination to take place.

Gardaí are currently appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward, including anyone who may have camera or dash cam footage while travelling in the area at that time.

Those with information are being asked to get in touch with the Letterkenny Garda Station on 074 916 7100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

The second incident took place at 9:10pm at the junction of Kimmage Road West and Whitehall Road in Terenure in Dublin, and involved a collision between a motorcyclist and a car.

The motorcyclist, who was in his 30s, died at the scene. RTÉ reports that there were no other injuries.

A technical examination took place and the road has since been reopened.
