Two Prison Officers Hospitalised Following Serious Assault At Mountjoy Prison
Two prison officers have been rushed to hospital today following a serious assault at Mountjoy prison.
It's believed that the incident took place this morning at 8.30am when a prisoner used to a homemade knife to attack the two officers.

According to The Irish Times, one of the officers received a stab wound to the head, while a second sustained wounds to his back and chest.
The attack took place in the Challenging Behaviour Unit and the injuries inflicted upon the officers are not believed to be life-threatening.
