Gardaí confirm they are treating the death of 90-year-old Paddy Lyons as murder

The Gardaí called a press conference earlier today to confirm that they are treating the death of Paddy Lyons as a murder investigation.

Paddy was last seen alive on Friday, February 24th but his body was discovered at his home at 5pm on Saturday, February 25th.

Supt Michael Lacey spoke to members of the press earlier today in Paddy’s hometown of Lismore, Co. Waterford where he stated that they are now treating the death as a murder investigation.

The Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has any information about the death. They are especially looking to talk to a man and a woman who raised the alarm on Saturday afternoon when they discovered Paddy’s body at his home.
