Missing registered sex offender, Lorcan Halton, has been found in Ireland.
It is understood that Gardai arrested the 45-year-old, who was due to appear in court on January 15th, at midnight in Co. Cavan.
Scottish authorities believe Halton boarded the ferry to Belfast at Cairnryan on Thursday 9th January.
Police made an appeal for the public’s assistance after extensive inquiries had proven unsuccessful.
