Vincent Browne will not be returning to our screens until September after being admitted to hospital at the weekend.
According to the Irish Independent, the TV3 host was admitted to St Vincent’s Private Hospital in Dublin as he was “worn out and completely drained”.
The 69-year-old, who was apparently not feeling well and had a busy few weeks with election coverage, was expected to finish for his summer break at the end of this week.
However he is now on medical leave ahead of his extended break and will not be returning to Tonight with Vincent Brown until the autumn. Presenter Tom McGurk is filling in for him.
