A weather expert has issued a snowstorm warning to four Irish counties.
In recent weeks, Ireland has seen temperatures between 6 and 10 degrees, with the forecast showing a combination of windy weather, scattered showers, and some sunny spells.
Last week, some parts of the country already experienced snow, though it didn't stick.
From Wednesday, a snowstorm is forecast to hit parts of the UK, with some counties in Ireland also set to feel the wrath.
The storm is set to hit on Wednesday (December 10) and is expected to last until Friday (December 12).
A snow warning has been issued to Antrim, Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone.
Ian Simpson of Netweather TV said: "The first half of December has potential to be very wet in western Britain, where rain-bearing frontal systems have potential to become slow-moving at times as they push against the Scandinavian blocking high.
"Some mild and changeable Decembers come out with above average sunshine, but these are typically the ones where frontal systems move freely from west to east and are often separated by periods of bright and showery weather with polar maritime air masses."
Met Éireann's forecast for the coming week reads: "Conditions will be mixed, with showers, persistent spells of rain and sunny spells forecast."
On Tuesday, Connacht and Munster can expect scattered showers, which are set to turn thundery with hail.
Wednesday will start a drier and brighter day for the most part, but Wednesday night will see some rain moving northeast.
More showers will hit on Thursday, however, these will predominantly affect Atlantic coastal counties, as some of them will turn heavy with hail and a chance of isolated thunderstorms.
Friday will continue rather wet and windy, with scattered showers turning heavier at times.
