It’s said that around 1500 people were on the street last night, which left several people injured and four hospitalized.
Earlier today Cathal Jackson, owner of the popular Dublin nightclub, told The Irish Independent:
“It was just a huge crowd coming down Harcourt Street and up Harcourt Street and up Camden Place, and they converged on Camden Place on the alleyway.
“It got blocked and a few people were knocked to the ground.”
“We never had a specifically over-18s night before; we always had older crowds,” Jackson told the paper. “18s wouldn’t have been in the premises before and they got excited.”
Coppers was running an event called "Messy Mondays", lowering the normal age of admission to over-18s, and offering a Jagerbomb promotion.
