WATCH: Piers Morgan reminds us how we can all do our bit to honour the Orlando massacre

“If you are a peace-loving person, be there”.

As tributes pour in from around the world, it’s Piers Morgan’s appearance on ITV’s This Morning that everyone should see and act on.

Dublin Pride takes place June 22nd to 26th this year, with the annual highlight – the Dublin LGBTQ Pride Parade – taking place on June 25th at 1.00pm, gathering at the Garden of Remembrance.

Almost 300 groups – charities, community groups, corporates and businesses, faith groups, political parties and public bodies – will take part in the Pride in London Parade on the same day.

All you have to do is be there. It’s that simple.

Morgan, who opposes the Second Amendment to the US Constitution and lobbied for gun control in America on his CNN programme, Tonight, joined Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield in studio this morning.

Morgan urged people to get out and join in the Pride celebrations.

“Whether you’re gay, straight, black, white, Islamic… if you are a peace-loving person that thinks you do not want your life to be dictated to by these barbaric medieval monsters, then get out and march”.

“We’re all in this together”.

In an interview with The Times last year, Morgan blamed the loss of his CNN slot on his stance on gun control and a long-standing feud with the National Rifle Association.

“Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarising, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it.”

“If only I didn’t care so passionately about guns, perhaps I wouldn’t have chased away a grand American audience.”
