The weather’s going to be a bit of a mixed bag today… but mainly not great

Stunning start to the week anyway.

The weather over the weekend was fairly grim.

It was cold, it was windy, and it wasn’t really worth going outside unless you actively had somewhere to be.

It’s the end of April, which technically means it should be a tad bit milder outside, but hey, climate change is a real thing guys, we could have 10 foot of snow in the morning, honestly who knows.

And while the forecast for the upcoming bank holiday weekend looking promising enough (highs of between 15 and 19 degrees in some places, don’t you know?), the rest of the week is is so, far, not looking the best.

According to Met Éireann, it’s going to be cloudy and misty in the east and north for most of the day, with some sunny spells, but some intense showers elsewhere.

There’ll be the odd heavy shower in some of the eastern counties – specifically Dublin – with some isolated showers leading into the night.

However, it is expected to dry up considerably as the evening goes on, so at least there’s that. Cloud and mist we can deal with, rain and hail we cannot.

There’ll be highs of 14 degrees in some parts of the country today, but honestly it doesn’t matter because of all that cloud so it may as well be winter.

Sure look.
