Wetherspoons To Open Three New Irish Pubs Later This Year

British pub chain Wetherspoons will open three new pubs in Ireland this year.

The company, which is well known for its lower price alcohol and food, already runs two outlets in Ireland – the Three Tun Tavern in Blackrock and the Forty Foot in Dun Laoghaire – and has confirmed that it plans to expand in the coming months.

According to The Irish Times, Wetherspoon’s will open The Great Wood in Blanchardstown on June 23rd, The Old Borough in Swords on July 21st and The Linen Weaver in Cork on September 1st.

The company is also understood to be developing a new pub and hotel at Camden Hall on Camden Street and chairman Tim Martin told the newspaper that the brand is looking for other suitable sites across Ireland.
