A woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a four-year-old boy earlier this year.
The death of the child occurred in March 2021 in Rathbane, Limerick. The woman, in her 20s, has since been arrested under a warrant issued by a District Court Judge under Section 10 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
She was being detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, and has since been released without charge.
The four-year-old boy suffered fatal injuries on Saturday, March 13. He later passed away at Temple Street Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, March 16.
