A woman in Wales, who bit her boyfriend’s sister’s face in a vampire-like attack, has said ‘severe premenstrual tension’ was to blame for her violent outburst.
Lindsey Leslie turned on her boyfriend’s sister in the Boar’s Head pub in Carmarthen, Wales, smashing her head against a jukebox while threatening:
“I’m going to gouge you.”
The mother of three then bit into the woman’s cheek.
After pleading guilty to common assault, the 35-year old said she had been suffering from ‘severe’ PMT at the time of the attack, which caused her to be ‘aggressive’ towards Janey Davies.
The court heard how Leslie was diagnosed with severe PMT causing ‘her to be aggressive when she comes into contact with people she does not know.’
Leslie was arrested after DNA swabs were taken from the victim’s cheek.
She was sentenced to a 12-month community order and told to attend 10 aggression management sessions.
She was also fined £100, ordered to pay £85 in court costs as well as a £60 victim surcharge and £75 to Ms Davies for her injury.
