A British woman has died following a bum lift operation in a Turkish cosmetic surgery clinic.

29-year-old Leah Cambridge was undergoing the £3,000 procedure when she collapsed.

It is thought that she died on the operating table, but her partner Scott Franks said that he is still seeking answers.

He told The Sun he was in Turkey on Monday night with Leah’s parents preparing to fly her body home.

He said:

“I just wish this was a bad dream.

“Two days ago I was happy. Now I’m a broken man and will be forever. I’m hurt so bad and this is only the start. My life has crashed.”

Leah, a mum-of-three, was travelling to the Elite Aftercare clinic in Izmir for a Brazilian bum lift. On their website, the cosmetic clinic says they have performed plastic surgery for This Only Way Is Essex‘s Lauren Goodger and Geordie Shore‘s Chloe Ferry.

Many people travel to Turkey for cosmetic procedures due to the significant lower costs of the surgeries.

Some procedures are advertised at up to 70 percent cheaper than in countries like the UK and Ireland.

Turkey’s Elite Aftercare clinic boasts that their patients will receive “UK standards of care.”

“Here at Elite Aftercare we understand that travelling abroad for cosmetic surgery is a decision not taken lightly.

“This is why we have teamed up with surgeons that have proven experience and expertise using state of the art hospitals and equipment.”
