A woman has died after she was hit by a Luas tram on the red line in Rialto in Dublin 8 in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Gardaí at Kilmainham in Dublin are investigating the fatal collision, which occurred at St James' Walk in Rialto at approximately 12.35am on the morning of Saturday, 8 July 2017.
The age of the woman is not yet known.
The scene of the incident was closed to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to examine the area but has since reopened. The Coroner has been notified of the death.
