Woman in her 30s injured after falling from balcony in Cork city

The incident took place on Tuesday morning.

A woman has been taken to hospital following an incident that occurred in Cork city centre on Tuesday morning, 7 December.

The woman, who is aged in her 30s, is believed to have fallen from a property on Sullivan’s Quay at approximately 8.30am.

Gardaí have confirmed that the woman was subsequently taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated for her injuries.

Her injuries, though serious, have been reported as non-life threatening.

Gardaí are currently investigating the incident, though it is understood that the fall is not related to Storm Barra’s presence in Cork.
