"I am now most likely going to end up with scarring. The pain has been just terrible, I have numbness and severe migraines. I have been in constant pain."
Coats claimed that the woman who gave her the treatment did not sterilise her equipment and that she did not change her gloves between clients.
"I told her patches of skin had come away along with the colour, (and) that I had puss and my eyes are weeping (...) I messaged and called (the woman) to tell her straight away something was wrong only to be ignored."The feather tattoo procedure itself involves using a row of needles to cut into the skin and hand draw each hair. Ink is then injected into these cuts to make the eyebrows seem fuller. The treatment has become increasingly popular in recent years, with the likes of Charlotte Crosby and Katie Price lauding the effects of the procedure.
Coats said that the infection has not just affected her physical appearance, but her ability to parent.
"I am the single Mum of three kids and at times have not even been able to drive due to my eyes," she said.
The Melbourne woman said that she was sharing the photos to warn others of the clinic in question.
She also urged readers of The Sun to "do your research about the procedure, how it's meant to be done and know who is going to be doing it."
Coats finished her Facebook post by saying: "I do not want this to happen to anyone else."
