If you’re in Leinster or Munster, make sure you’re indoors by 4pm tomorrow

If you're planning on heading out anywhere from Thursday evening to Friday midday, you may have to rethink a few things.

The National Emergency Coordination Committee has urged everybody living in Munster and Leinster to be indoors by 4pm tomorrow. The group has also asked that everybody stays indoors until midday on Friday. Minister Eoghan Murphy said:

"Blizzard-like conditions will develop in heavy snow and strong easterly winds on Thursday evening and will continue Thursday night and Friday morning."

An orange warning has also been issued for the rest of the country. All primary and second level schools will be closed Thursday and Friday, with third level institutions remaining closed for Thursday at least. Dublin Bus has also announced that they will not be running any services tomorrow. There will be limited Luas and DART services while Bus Éireann will not be serving Leinster and Munster tomorrow and Friday. Iarnród Éireann will stop all services from 2pm tomorrow. Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that the army is on standby if necessary.
