Our favourite Canadian singer, (sorry Celine), releases his new album this week, so why not get to know him a little better before you buy...

He could have been the next Simon Cowell…
It’s recently been revealed that Michael turned down the role of judge on the Australian version of The Voice. The superstar was in line to take the seat previously filled by Keith Urban, but the hectic schedule that comes with releasing a new album meant he couldn’t do it. And it’s not the first time his name has been mentioned in conjunction with a TV show, but it doesn't look like it will be happening any time soon. Speaking about the reports, Michael said; "It’s been talked about in America too. How do I do it? I’ve got 40 something countries I want to tour in. How do I tour 40 countries and make records and be a family guy when I’m doing a TV show?" Good news for the fans who want him to continue touring. The Australian gig went to Ricky Martin. Right so.

The truth is out there... he appeared on The X Files
Bublé, with Mulder and Scully? Yes, it’s true. The hit sci-fi show was filming in Vancouver when Bublé appeared as an extra in two 1996 episodes. He didn’t have any lines, but check out this clip for a glimpse of a baby-faced Bublé in action!
He wrote one of his biggest hits for his wife… Aaaaw!
Bublé broke a million hearts when he married stunning actress and model Luisana Lopilato in 2011. The pair met in 2008 at a party and became engaged the following year, the same year when Michael released Just Haven’t Me You Yet. The first single from his monster hit album Crazy Love, and went to number one in both the Canadian and American charts. Gorgeous Luisana stars in the video too. Sigh.
Caoi Bello!
Since 2005 Mr. Bublé has been Italian! Sort of. The singer holds dual passports, one for his homeland of Canada and one for beautiful Italy. He was eligible for Italian citizenship as his grandfather, Demetrio Santaga, came from the village of Pregnaziol in the province of Treviso.

He’s sold a whopping thirty million albums
Well, he’s actually sold more than that, but what’s a few thousand in the difference when you’re talking these kinds of numbers. From his self-titled debut album in 2003, to 2005’s It’s Time, 2007’s Call Me Irresponsible, 2009’s Crazy Love and 2011’s Christmas, the singer has had hit after hit on his hands. With the release of To Be Loved coming up this month, we’re predicting a few million more sales to be added on…
