She's the original judge who isn't afraid to mince her words, stand up to Simon Cowell or storm off the stage if she isn't happy with the voting, so if rumours that Sharon Obourne is returing to the UK X Factor are true, we can't wait to see what she has in store for her fellow judges and contestants.

The singing competition suffered its worst ratings yet last season and has fallen from favour in the last couple of years, so maybe a return to the original X Factor formula will do the flailing ITV show the world of good.

The Irish Sun are reporting that Simon is keen to bag Sharon and is "not looking at anyone else" after Mel B ruled herself out of the running, after she accepted a role as judge on Australia's Got Talent for the second year running. 

There's been no confirmation from Sharon's camp but in another X Factor twist, Mrs. O's arch-nemesis Dannii Minogue has just been named as a judge on the Australian X Factor. 

The former UK judge has been basing herself in her native Melbourne since the birth of her son Ethan in 2010 and will join the judging panel later this year.
