Happy almost International Women’s Day!

This month – and every other month – we love supporting all the amazing women in business, who with grit, determination, vision and not to mention buckets of passion have built their businesses from scratch – and in doing so, continue to inspire other women to go after their own dreams too.

Supporting small businesses can be done in many ways – you can follow them on social media, share their posts, talk them up to friends and family, leave a positive review – and, of course, buy their product.

And so if you are looking to gift yourself – or someone dear to you – a little treat or gift this month, here are 10 women-owned Irish businesses to buy from:

1. Nunaia

Clean, organic, ethical and truly amazing skincare products using ingredients from the Amazon rainforest, we have loved Nicola Connolly’s Nunaia products ever since the first time we tested the products.

2. Bold Bunny

Adorable (and laugh-out-loud funny) greeting cards, handy calendars and the loveliest prints, Ali Jones’ Bold Bunny is our absolute go-to for stationary.

3. Lily O’Brien

Hard to believe that the business that was started by Mary Ann O’Brien at her kitchen table in 1992 now produces approximately 1,200 tonnes of chocolate each year and is sold in 16 countries across the globe.

4. Pestle & Mortar

Simple solutions for beautiful skin – Pestle & Mortar was founded by Irish mother-of-five Sonia Deasy and has gathered loyal fans across the globe since it launched.

5. CLEAN SLATE

C L E A N S L A T E founder Nicole Connolly has always had a love for fragrance, gorgeous products, design and creativity, as well as an obsession with candles. And turning her passions into a business has worked well, and we love her paraben-free, vegan, hand-poured candles.

6. Chupi

Our most favourite jewellery designer of all, we love how Chupi Sweetman designs and meticulously crafts her pieces with love and magic right here in Ireland.

7. Homespun

Our very favourite healthy breakfast treat, Homespun’s Quinoa Crunch was created by Erica Sheehan as she experimented to find a healthy alternative to her favourite granolas.

8. Kinvara

Kinvara was founded by Dr Joanne Reilly back in 2012, when she struggled to find skincare products for her own tricky skin.

9. KDK

Sisters Keira and Dairine Kennedys are the brains behind KDK, the brand behind the most luxurious Irish-designed silk, modal and cashmere scarves, jumpers, throws and accessories  – with designs you won’t find anywhere or on anything else.

10. Amurelle

Hannah Murphy created Amurelle when she realised the difference the right bedding can have for your quality of sleep, and how hard it was to get your hands on quality bed linens at a reasonable price here in Ireland.
