Cathy Donohue

A popular trend for 2018.

When you think of wedding dresses, white and ivory are the usual colours that come to mind but there’s a new shade gaining popularity.

Gowns with a nude tone are becoming a major deal and it seems that more and more brides are choosing this type of look.

A common way of adapting the trend is to choose a different lining under your dress, allowing the nude shade to take centre stage.

Grace Loves Lace is a pretty big deal when it comes to bridal trends, the brand’s Holly design was previously named as the most popular design on Pinterest.

They’ve noticed a major upsurge in the ‘nude’ style, as much as 30 percent over the last twelve months”.

Chatting to Who What Wear, the brand’s founder Megan Ziems explained why this particular bridal look has taken off.

Megan believes brides are now choosing to suit their own personal style instead of feeling they have to conform to a certain type of dress.

The gown that’s proving most popular for this type of look is the Alexandra and as you can see below, it’s seriously stunning.

It also comes with traditional white lining but the brand new nude look has garnered lots of attention in the bridal world.

It’s truly stunning and we can definitely see the trend catching on…
