8 festival looks we’re SO completely over

Festival season is well and truly underway and we must admit, we’re ecstatic!

Between the music, the comedy, the colour, the fashion and the absolute craic, we are well and truly in our element this summer season.

But we must admit, there are certain trends that are somewhat lagging in the style stakes. Here’s a little list of the trends that are most definitely no longer en vogue.

Flower crowns

Please, just stop. Let’s keep these flower crowns alive only in mythology and art portraying the ancient times. They’re usually terrible quality and end up looking tacky. So, unless you can get your hands on a floral arrangement much like Beyoncé’s, perhaps leave the dull crown at home.

Too much fringe

A little bit of fringe is no harm, but when all you have showing is that fringe, stop right there.

Glitter… glitter everywhere

So, the newest trend is glitter boobs, which you’ve probably seen plastered all over social media. No doubt we’ll be over this funky look soon enough too, but for now all that is bothersome, are strokes of glitter on arms, hands, legs and faces. Unless it’s otherworldly and artistic, it can often end up just taking from that beautiful face.

Sequin bodysuits

It can be EXTREMELY rare to find a sequin bodysuit that looks beautiful on. Yes, when we’re heading off to our festival of choice we like to make that extra effort and wear a standout piece however, most sequin bodysuits end up taking from us and stealing the show. We want clothes that complement our beauty, not take from it.

Henna

We’ve seen enough. That is all.

Bandanas

We’re VERY much over this look. Not only has it been an accessory used by countless amounts of people, (hence our boredom) it’s also just a bit gross. All that dancing and merriment while you’re having the time of your life but meanwhile, that bandana is rubbing off your makeup and soaking up your sweat. No thank you.

Tan suede boots

We pity the fool. Good luck trying to get these beauties clean after a potential mud bath. And even if you do manage to get all those smudges off, they will never again look the same. *Tear*

Naked people

Oh, hell no. If you’re walking out the door at this very moment, and you happen to be naked, stop right there. We’re all about being free and being close to nature, but festivals are not the place to parade your bits.

Trend Alert! One trend we are certainly LOVING this season is being adventurous when it comes to colouring our hair, for a brave, daring and freeing new look that goes in tune perfectly with those funky festival vibes. You need look no further than Colorista.
