DREAM!

For many of us – the thought of having €1,000 in order to update our wardrobe is the stuff of dreams.

Because while here are Her we’re only mad for a bargain, so having the opportunity to invest in some key fashion stables would be nothing short of perfect.

It’s something that a very lucky 16-year-old named Alana Lewis, from Greystones in Co Wicklow, got to experience recently.

The teenager’s family has weathered their fair share of storms in recent times – including financial struggles. So understandably, Alana hasn’t had much opportunity to shop for new clothes, shoes, or makeup.

This year however, Alana sought the help of One4all: over the past month, the Irish public have been submitting their Christmas wishes, big or small, to One4all – all to be in with the chance of winning a prize unlike any other… memories to last a lifetime.

Well Christmas certainly came early for Alana whose dream of an entire day spent shopping in Dublin became a reality. She was woken early one morning to find a limo outside her front door, waiting to whisk her and her mum, Yvonne, away for a very special day of pampering at Arnotts.

As well as €1,000 to go shopping in the city centre department store, Alana was treated to a personal shopping experience and a full makeover, including makeup application and a blow dry at Zeba hair salon. Gorge!

Speaking of the experience, Alana says:

“This day has really been a dream come true for me! I know it might not sound like much to most people but being able to go shopping and be pampered for the day really meant so much to me.

“Myself and my family have had a difficult few years and so often I wished I could buy the lovely things that other people do. So to be able to treat myself for just one day was amazing! I want to say a huge thank you to One4all for making my Christmas Wish come true.”

One4all’s Rachel Delaney adds:

“We are really delighted to be able to make Alana’s Christmas Wish come true. It’s important that we get to treat ourselves every so often, and to be able to treat Alana to such a special day put a smile on all of our faces.”

This One4all Christmas Wishes initiative is being fronted by ambassador Simon Delaney and it will continue to grant wishes throughout December. Last week, 85-year-old Nancy Foley – who has for many years cooked delicious meals for her family – had a festive feast prepared and served to her instead.

It’s the little things that matter most, so let’s all make someones Christmas wish come true this year.
