This is the ankle boot style that’s going to be OUT of fashion in 2018

Definitely a no-no

They have seen their day.

While fashion trends come and go, you can always rely on a good black ankle boot.

They can be dressed up or down, and most of the time, they become just as comfy as your runners.

However, if there’s one style to say goodbye to in 2018, it definitely has to be the wedge heel.

Fashion website, WhoWhatWear, answers users questions on a regular basis, and this week it was all about which ankle boot we should ditch in the new year.

An editor for the site wrote: “Ankle boots are without a doubt a wardrobe staple, and since styles change from season to season, I can understand the urge to want to “ditch” a dated style and swap in a pair that feels a bit fresher.

“If you’re clearing out your ankle boot selection this season, I recommend donating low, slouchy styles with a wedge heel.

“We’re seeing more and more designers opt for sleek silhouettes with a pointed toe or interesting heel rather than loose, non-polished boots.”

We’ve picked three of our fave boots for this season here:

(L-R): New Look, €40.53/ Stradivarius, €44.58/ Public Desire, €54.04

So there you have it, stay clear of slouched, wedged boots during the Stephen’s Day sales!
