ASOS is considering blacklisting ‘serial returners’ and you know who you are

Anyone guilty of this?

None of us can deny the fact that ASOS is absolutely amazing.

It’s just so easy to pop on for a few minutes and buy clothes – too easy, some could argue.

However, it seems as though the online retailer has a problem.

According to a new survey, the issue of serial returners is growing, and brands may be cracking down on the problem.

The research looked into over 200 UK retailers and found that over than a third of stores have seen an increase in serial returns in the last 12 months.

45 percent of retailers, including ASOS, said that they were planning to blacklist repeat offenders of serial returning.

And don’t panic, this doesn’t refer to those if us that buy three dresses to try on, and return two.

There are people out there that order stuff, wear them a few times and then return them.

Which is actually pretty gross if you ask us, and not very cool.

Clear Returns, a retail data technology company, said that returns cost UK retailers £60bn a year, £20bn of which is online.

That’s a lot of cash!

ASOS have also been monitoring those who say they haven’t received items they bought, for obvious reasons.

The brand spoke to Cosmopolitan UK, and said that they would “only check up on customers if a fraud is suspected, which relates to a very small percentage of shoppers and is normal procedure for online retailers.”

So essentially, as long as you don’t take the complete piss, you’ll be grand.
