All the doll-inspired looks Margot Robbie has worn ahead of the Barbie release

So excited for this movie!

As we count down the days before Barbie hits our cinema screens, we have decided to take a look at some of Margot Robbie’s looks from the lead up to the movie.

The lead actress has been non-stop promoting the film and as appears on red carpets and countless interviews, she has not once failed to impress everyone with her looks.

But the more and more she stepped out in the iconic pink we all know and love, the more we began to realise that these weren’t just random outfits… they were all inspired by real Barbie dolls.

1960s’ Enchanted Evening Barbie at the London premiere

Last night, Margot stepped onto the pink carpet in a Vivienne Westwood remake of the iconic 1960 doll.

Earlier this week, Margot arrived at the LA premiere in this Schiaparelli design.

1992’s Totally Hair Barbie in Mexico

At an event in Mexico City, Margot wore a Pucci dress that had a striking resemblance to the doll, even down to the crimped hair.

1992’s Earring Magic Barbie

Again in Mexico City, Margot went for a 1992 doll inspired look, but this time opting for the Earring Magic doll which Balmain happily recreated.

1964’s Sparkling Pink Barbie

For a press event in South Korea, Margot wore a Moschino two piece, which wasn’t far off the original 1964 doll.

1985’s Day to Night Barbie

Starting off her night at the Seoul premiere, Margot first wore this Versace replica suit, before changing into the dress we all know it to transform into.

2015’s Pink & Fabulous Barbie

Going for a more recent doll, Margot recreated this look at a photocall in LA and Valentino gave it even more of a modern twist.

1959’s The Original Barbie

Taking it back to the very beginning, Margot wore an outfit inspired by the first ever Barbie doll while at home in her native Australia – very fitting!
