Which pop princesses was your favourite?
There's no denying that Britney and Christina were two of the most stylish pop stars in the 1990s.
Whatever they wore instantly became a fashion trend and we spent hours trying to emulate their style (which probably wasn't a good idea).
From belly tops to platform boots, they seemed to have it all but which songstress had the best dress sense?
It could be a lot harder to decide than you think.
The newsboy hat
It was a classic '90s staple (and something we would rather forget). Britney and Christina both rocked their own versions during the decade but we think props have to go to Britney for colour-matching hers to her outfit.
The belly top
It was the trend that everyone coveted but Britney was the pop princess who really made it famous.
Leather trousers/chaps
Thank God this item decided to stay in the '90s where it belongs. Christina's 'Dirty' look was just so iconic that we think she takes the prize for this round.
The girl next door look
Aw, would you look at them! In the early 1990s, Britney and Christina's style was much more demure. They were both the poster 'girl next door'. It's a definite draw for this round.
Evening wear
The pop princesses knew how to dress up when they had too. Both Britney and Christina had some amazing red carpet looks during the decade but nothing is more 90's than a boob tube with a low rise skirt. Points for Christina.
Metallic trousers
Oh God, our eyes! It's hard to believe this was actually a thing but metallic trousers were all the rage in the 1990s (or so it would seem). We have to admire Christina's dedication to the trend. Go hard or go home.
Animal print
Animal print was a huge trend back in the day so naturally enough both pop stars had their own take on the trend. We're not so sure about Christina's double leopard print ensemble, Britney's more toned down look is much better.
Denim
It's no contest. Who could forget Britney's classic denim ball gown? Justin Timberlake wore a matching double denim suit and the whole world lost reason when they saw the photos. Sorry Christina, a denim jacket just doesn't cut it.
