So, the sock boot trend that Kendall, Kim and Kylie can’t get enough of, is one of autumn winter’s biggest trends and now we can try it too, for a fraction of the price.

Although the Jenner sisters are all about the Yeezy version, there’s a much cheaper way to nail the trend thanks to the legend that is Shay Cherise, who you’ll find over at @thenuvogue.

Spotted on Seventeen, Shay explains how she bought a pair of “tube socks”, inserted a hole in the heel of the sock, used Sure Step textured paper, non-skid pads (around €3) and then slipped these on over her chosen heels.

Unsurprisingly, the DIY trend has taken off massively and Instagram users are posting their ‘sock boot’ efforts, crediting Shay for coining the look.

To be fair, they’re very similar to Kanye’s astronomically expensive Yeezy sock boot i.e. €900, yet you won’t have to fork out a small fortune to try it out.

People always say "why not just buy them?" Well you can buy dinner from a restaurant yet you still cook. Sometimes it feels good to add your own flavor. Yes a meal for $50 is nice but there is nothing like a home cooked meal. When you make your own, it tastes so much better because YOU created it.
