You might be keen to learn that you can now relish a taste of The Westbury’s Iconic 1930s-Style Cocktail Bar, The Sidecar, in the comfort of your own home.
The Sidecar launched its first artisan spirit at the end of 2020 with a Limited Edition batch of just 300 bottles crafted in collaboration with Stillgarden Distillery in Dublin.
The elegant and aromatic gin is a homage to a bygone era with a twist of decidedly Dublin character. It derives its unique flavour from wild lemon verbena, nettles and locally foraged herbs from Dublin parkland, balanced with spicy ginger, bitter orange and a fresh lift of juniper.
The Sidecar Gin Experience At Home will set you back €145 and includes: Two elegant crystal cut balloon gin glasses, one 700ml bottle of The Sidecar Gin, four 200ml bottles of 1724 Tonic, a gold measuring jigger and mixing spoon and a gin infusion kit that contains three spices: juniper berries, cinnamon, and star anise.
Additional items can be added to your order, such as The Sidecar Cocktail Book, €25, to enhance the experience.

All the botanicals are locally foraged and hand-picked, creating what we believe to be the perfect balance of freshness and vitality that you want in a spirit. We pair it with 1724 Tonic to match the natural profile of ingredients and deliver a refreshing, thirst-quenching G&T.”
With a very limited number of The Sidecar Gin Experience available, this bespoke and coveted package makes for the ultimate treat for any gin lover. Designed to reflect the Art Deco period and the distinctive style of the bar from which it takes its name, the bottle features simple clean lines alongside a label illustrated to complement the sketches distinctive of the period and included in The Sidecar’s beautiful hardback menu entitled Of Tall Tales and Cocktails.
Oh, and there is more. To truly set the atmosphere for your gin cocktail at home, each kit includes a QR code giving access to The Exclusive Sidecar Playlist on Spotify, featuring expertly curated and selected music synonymous with The Sidecar at The Westbury.
The Sidecar Gin Experience At Home is available for delivery within a 10km radius for €10, while click and collect is available within Dublin county directly from The Westbury Hotel, Balfe Street, Dublin 2, D02 CH66 from Friday 30th April.
Deliveries and Click and Collect are available from 12-6pm on Fridays and Saturdays and for collection anytime between 12-7pm from The Westbury.
