All profits will go towards Breast Cancer Ireland.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and people all over the world are doing what they can to support it.

From making a charity donation yourself to established brands creating products to directly help breast cancer researchers, everyone is trying to make a difference.

One person striving to make an impact is designer Fiona Heaney. The proud owner of Irish brand, fee G, Fiona has created a silk scarf using prints from her AW19 collection.

Fiona will be giving 100 percent of the profits made from the sale of the scarf to Breast Cancer Ireland.

We spoke to Fiona and asked her why she wanted to do her bit to help raise awareness for breast cancer, and what it means to her.

Speaking about where the concept came from, the designer said: “Two prints from our AW19 collection had a really positive feedback from customers, so I wanted to produce a scarf combining the two designs.

“We started the design process and trailing different qualities of silk,” she continued. However, it wasn’t until the new design was in the midst of production that she decided she was going to put it towards a good cause.

“It wasn’t until the design was in work that I decided not to profit in any way from the sale of the scarf,” Fiona explained.

“I recently lost a friend to cancer and have another undergoing treatment for breast cancer, so it was an easy decision for all profits to benefit Breast Cancer Ireland.”

As October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, everyone is trying to do their bit to support research. Fiona said that the feedback has been great so far, and there are still plenty of scarves available if you want to support BCI.

“The reaction for the scarf has been good, there is great support for the charity. The scarf is really beautiful and comes by courier in a gorgeous fee G gift box.”

The scarf is €75 and available now. You can find it here.
