Designer plastic bags are being sold for €480 and we feel sick

Tapped.

If there’s one thing we absolutely do not need in our lives, it’s a designer plastic bag.

And we definitely don’t need a designer plastic bag that’s going to be setting us back literally €480.

Honestly, we kick up a fuss having to shell out for a regular plastic bag from Tesco, why in God’s name would we be picking up something like this?

The bag comes from Céline and featured as part of their Spring 2018 collection.

It appeared alongside a lot of ’80s inspired #looks including shoulder pads, pleats, and a whole load of power suits.

The models carried the ridiculously expensive plastic bags like they were totes and not just a bit of plastic they picked up after legging it down to Lidl to get a few deals.

The bags included the words ‘Céline Paris’ on them and a couple of warnings that aren’t exactly legible but probably hint at not putting the bag over your head or something.

Hey, at least they’re being careful.

Unfortunately for everybody who wants to blow a month’s wages on a plastic bag though, this particular piece isn’t available to buy online.

Tragic, we know.

Instead, it’s only being sold exclusively in a Céline x Nordstrom pop-up in Seattle.

We’re not entirely sure how many of the bags the designer has sold just yet, but if we know people and their love for plastic bags like we think we do… we bet they’re absolutely flying off the shelves.

Maybe.

This isn’t the first time that plastic has been sold for extortionate prices though.

Last year, Moschino debuted their plastic bag dry cleaner dress – literally a dress made from a dry cleaning bag. For €598.

Yes, really.

And no, we couldn’t imagine hitting up the club in it either.
