Dolce & Gabbana may have to shut down if they are forced to pay the fines they have acquired from tax evasion.
The fashion label, owned by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, owes approximately €343.3 million.
Dolce told reporters: “We will close. What do you want us to do? We will close. We will not be able to deal with it. It’s impossible.”
Gabbana added: “If we deserved the sentence, there would be nothing to say. But we do not deserve it, and so unfortunately we would have to close.”
The pair was sentenced to 20 months in prison as well as the nasty fine after they were accused of tax evasion.
They also had to shut down their Milan stores after the Mayor banned them from the Italian city’s communal spaces.

The designers could end up closing down.
