The dress Kate Middleton wore today was a major Diana throwback

Was this an intentional nod to the late princess?

Stunning as ever.

It’s far too easy to try and draw parallels between Kate Middleton and the woman who would have been her mother-in-law.

Since her early days dating William to her wedding and on all her royal engagements since, the world has been fascinated with Kate’s warmth and charm, as well as her style.

Much like the public’s fascination with Princess Diana, we’re always watching Kate and today was no different when she stepped out with Princes William and Harry.

The royals were visiting the The Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace, which has been transformed into a White Garden dedicated in the memory of Diana.

It might have been a coincidence, but we can’t help but be reminded of Diana when we look at what Kate wore.

Everything from the pussy-bow neckline to the long sleeves scream 80s style and are giving us serious Diana vibes.

The poppy-print of this Prada dress is also significant – poppies are a symbol of remembrance.

Tomorrow marks the twentieth anniversary of Diana’s death, so it doesn’t seem too far-fetched that Kate’s choice of dress was a nod to the former Princess of Wales.
