Leighton Meester turns 29 today and this gives us the perfect excuse to chat about Blair Waldorf. If you're a Gossip Girl fan, you''ll know that Blair is not to be messed with and during the show's run, she had some pretty amazing one-liners. Here's a few of the tips we picked up from the queen bee of New York's social scene. Tights Are Not Pants We can't back her enough on this one. Tights should never be worn as trousers, it's wrong for obvious reasons. Have A Little Faith... The full quote reads "have a little faith and if that doesn't work, have a lot of mimosas". Yet again, Blair was on the money here, if you don't believe that everything will work out the way it's supposed to, then you won't get anywhere. Things Are Never As Bad As You Think You've had one of those days where EVERYTHING has gone wrong. You slept in, smashed a phone screen, lost your purse and missed the last bus. Then your cracked screen lights up with a message from a loved one and you remember there's plenty to be happy about. Know When Enough Is Enough Standing up for yourself is important but there are situations where the more you talk, the more trouble you'll find yourself in. Never Settle For Half Measures Because everyone deserves to have somebody they're head over heels about and who would do anything for them. Move mountains, as Blair puts it. She's not looking for much... If You Really Want Something, Go After It This applies to all areas of life. If you want your dream career get the experience you need. Don't let anyone stop you doing what you want to do. Being In Love Doesn't Equate To Being Happy Finding the perfect someone is great but it's not the be all and end all of everything. There's a lot more to life and yet again Blair was quick to point this out. That said, the Blair and Chuck love story is a great one. SWOON.
