2) Legwarmers
We know they looked cool in Flashdance but unless you're Irene Cara or you actually do ballet, these babies are not so easy to pull off. And if they happen to be the same colour as one of your highlighters, back slowly away.
3) Hammer Pants
Only the 80s could have spawned the fashion atrocity that is hammer pants. There is no redeeming factor here apart from the fact that they'll cover up wobbly thighs... which is a pretty big plus, in fairness.
4) Fitness fashion
While sportswear always tends to make its way on to the catwalk, these days it's all about silk jogging pants and 'sports luxe'. In the 80s? Skintight leotards and plastic visors. Jane Fonda, we're looking at you.
5) Neon
Everything in the 80s was neon. EVERYTHING. It might be back in fashion now but there is a world of difference between a pair of hot pink shoes and... this. Even Katy Perry can't manage to make it cool.
6) Fishnets
Fishnet tights, fishnet gloves. If it didn't have holes in it, it wasn't worth wearing.
7) Bright make-up
Aaaand... we're back to neon. We're all about experimentation but matching yellow eyeshadow and nails? That will NEVER be ok.
8) Too many accessories
You know that Coco Chanel quote about always taking off the last thing you put on? Clearly, that message got lost in translation here.
