Tinseltown must have been a lonely looking spot last night; it seems as though every Hollywood star was on the other coast, donning safety pins and leather and heading to the MET.
The famed yearly gala to benefit the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art took place on Monday, and the theme this year was PUNK: Chaos to Couture.
We should probably thank the good folks at the MET; they provided us with the most interesting red carpet we’ve ever seen. But that’s not to say it was a pretty sight, not by a long shot.
Spikes, leather, studs and tartan does not a traditional red carpet make, and while we applaud the celebs who really went to town on their looks for their bravery, there were far more misses than hits on display.

There are too many on either side to list, but for us, the top three wins go to Anne Hathaway, Taylor Swift and Katie Holmes, while the ‘What were you thinking?’ plaudits go to Beyonce, Madonna and Kim Kardashian. We still love you Beyonce. Sorry.
