A teenager in California is getting a lot of praise on Twitter for creating her own Prom dress. Not only that, it took her five hours the night before the event.
Shami Oshun hadn’t planned to go to the Prom but when her friend was going by herself she decided to buy a ticket last minute. The only problem was that she didn’t have a dress so she decided to make one.
After picking up purple tulle from a fabric store for $15 she began to hand stitch the creation, while commenting on the whole process on Twitter as she went.
