We’re grabbing this fab €13 shirt from the men’s section next time we’re in Penneys

Ideal for summer days out.

Androgynous style never really goes away, does it?

This season, every second man on the planet is wearing patterned shirts and now we want in on the trend too.

If you’re looking for inspiration on how to wear it, you couldn’t go too far wrong by copying Dutch blogger Tiffany Magaly.

She’s taken a Versace-esque button-up from Penneys and styled it with white denim, a straw crossbody and retro sunglasses for a summery feel.

The shirt is €13 and has inspired us to take a second look at lads’ clothing for our own wardrobes.

Want to do the same? Knowing how to shop the men’s section before you ever wander in there is the key.

First of all, figure out what kind of silhouette you want and what will suit your frame best.

Do you want a jumper that will drown you for an oversized look or would you rather a fitted t-shirt that won’t be as obviously masculine-looking?

Next, make sure you know how exactly you want to style it.

Will your piece look good with baggy items for a casual look or does it need a girly skirt, pair of shorts or jacket so you don’t look like you just threw on something from your dad’s drawer?

Lastly don’t forget the power of a little tailoring.

If you see a top, jacket or even pair of trousers that you love the pattern or material of but know the fit won’t be right, you could get the finish you want with a trip to a dressmakers’.
