Hero Buys To See You Through The Christmas Season

Sale season is fast approaching and it is far too easy to become tempted by the various bargains on offer. However, impulse buying isn't always a good idea (see here for more on that topic) and you're better off searching for classic pieces that you'll actually get the wear from. We've selected a few high-street favourites that we know we will be wearing until they fall apart. Literally. You can wear it with various outfit combinations: skinny jeans, leather biker trousers, culottes and tailored skirts to name but a few. Victoriana vibes are key this season so snap this blouse up while you can. Mega Buckle Boots, €125 at Topshop Boots are essential for autumn winter and while black is a sensible choice, we like to vary it too. These grey suede buckled beauties are just gorgeous and to show them off in all their glory, wear with a cropped pair of jeans or a pencil skirt. LOVE. Ember Side-Tie Coat, €550, Acne Studios at Brown Thomas If you're planning on hitting the sales, a coat is a good starting point. Black Pleat Front Culottes, €19.99 at New Look Love them or hate them, culottes aren't going anywhere. We were a bit afraid of them to begin with and now we're obsessed, plus this pair = BARGAIN ALERT. They make a statement all on their own so you simply need a blouse (like the one above) or a sparkly cami top and your favourite heels to finish the look. Zip Front Belted Dress, €64 at Warehouse Green is one of those colours that really doesn't get as much love as it should. This forest shade is ideal for the festive season and the belted tie makes this a comfortable yet stylish outfit option.
