H&M releases a €160 wedding dress just like Kate Middleton’s gown

Cathy Donohue

Oh WOW.

H&M has just released a wedding collection which includes a number of affordable, stylish dresses but one design, in particular, is stealing the show.

The full-length design features the same sweetheart neckline and lace overlay and bodice as the stunning wedding gown worn by the Duchess of Cambridge.

Kate Middleton wed Prince William at Westminister Abbey in 2011 and her bespoke gown, created by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, is still admired seven years on.

Of course, the H&M dress is a high-street piece and doesn’t include the level of intricate detail as the McQueen design.

Kate’s dress had a massive train, rumoured to have measured almost three metres in length, while the H&M version is without this added detail.

This is reflected in the price, €159, while the gown Kate chose for one of the biggest days of her life is rumoured to have cost within the region of €450,000.

People are going crazy for the H&M version which is no major surprise given the attractive price tag.

If you’re a bride to be or know someone who might be interested then we would advise snapping it up as soon as it’s not likely to hang around for long.
