How To Tell If You Can Walk In Shoes Before Buying Them Online

This is going to come in VERY handy.

Cathy Donohue

We love shoes and we know we’re not alone in this.

Shoes are always there for you. Even on days when you hate every item of clothing in your wardrobe, stunning heels are still guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

However, buying them online can be tricky because as much as we love them, we need them to be comfy too.

The folks over at Glamour have alerted us to a simple tip that will help you to check if the shoes you’re about to purchase are comfortable.

Have a look at the ‘pitch’ on a shoe, which is the incline of the heel.

The construction of the pitch affects the space between the heel and sole.

Basically, the higher the pitch, the more your toes will feel the pain and no one wants that.

Before you buy, do a quick test using two pairs of shoes with the same heel height.

Bring both styles up on your computer screen and measure the distance from the ‘end of the exterior sole’ to the heel.

A tape measure will assist you in finding the exact difference and the shoe with more space is the one you’ll have a better chance of walking in.

This might sound complicated but if it means our heels will last the night, we’re on board.
